Walking – We are positioned close to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park coastal footpath where you can experience some of the most breath taking views in Pembrokeshire and catch glimpses of the many species of birds and wildlife that inhabit this wonderful coastline.

Climbing – If you like the idea of dangling from a rope just above the crashing waves then those from over 3000 routes around our coastline with plenty of scope for all abilities.  If you would prefer to try climbing indoors head to The Hangout  inside Haverfordwest Leisure Centre or The Overhang in Tenby.

Horse Riding – Try beach riding from East Nolton Riding Stables, or there is an indoor riding school at Rudbaxton, near Haverfordwest called Bowlings Riding School.  Other riding centres include Dunes Riding Centre and Oasis Park Equestrian Centre both at Martletwy or Pembrokeshire Riding Centre at Hundleton.

Boat Trips – There are many boat trips to the islands and where you are able to see seals, dolphins and many different types of sea birds.  The boat for Skomer Island leaves from Martins Haven, the trips to Ramsey Island leave from St. Davids and to visit Grassholm, Skomer and Skokholm the boats leave from Dale.  From the harbour in Tenby you can take a boat trip to Caldey Island where a group Cistercian Monks live or cruise around the islands and experience the fabulous wildlife including seals, dolphins and many different seabirds.

Fishing- Sea fishing trips operate form Tenby, Saundersfoot and Dale. Also Coarse fishing with world champion Ian Heasps, open all year round in Llawhaden.

Helicopter and Small Aircraft Flights – see Pembrokeshire from the air by taking a helicopter or small aircraft  flight from Haverfordwest.

Motor Sports – Ritec Valley Quad Bikes – great fun with different courses and bikes for different ages.  Open all year and great fun in the rain.  Try Karting at BP Karking which has an indoor track and is in Haverfordwest, Carew Karting at Carew Airfield, or Heatherton Country Park.  Try driving a 4×4 with Wood Park Off-Road near Haverfordwest.

Golf – There are several golf courses in the area – Tenby which is said to be quite challenging, South Pembrokeshire in Pembroke Dock, Trefloyne at Penally, Priskilly Forest at Letterston, Haverfordwest and Milford Haven.

Water Sports – Learn to surf or stand up paddleboarding with Outer Reef, learn to sail with PPSA at Llanion Cove, Pembroke Dock or take an open canoe trip or try kayaking on the river Teifi.  You can hire stand up paddleboards and kayaks right here in Freshwater East at The Longhouse. Try wind surfing in Dale or coasteering with in Stackpole or St. Davids.  There are also diving centres in the area.

Art Galleries – We have some very talented local artists and their work can be found in galleries in Tenby, St Davids and many other locations in the area.

Crafts – visit Solva Wollen Mill, Pembrokeshire Candle Centre at Newport, New Quay Honey Farm, Pembertons Victorian Chocolates at Llanboidy, Cwm Deri Vineyard or The Creative Café, Haverfordwest and Narbeth. There is also the Wickedly Welsh Chocolate Factory, Haverfordwest, Andy Davies Photography Workshop, Pembrokeshire Photo Walks, A Gift of Glass in Tenby or Avondale Glass in Kilgetty and while there call into The Lovespoon Workshop.

Museums – There are several small museums to visit in the area:  Scolton Manor, Milford Haven Heritage & Maritime Museum, Narberth Museum, Tenby Museum, Pembroke Town Hall Murals and The Last Invasion Tapestry in Fishguard.

Gardens – visit the Stackpole Walled Gardens which is managed by Mencap, the National Botanical Gardens near Carmarthen, Hilton Court near Haverfordwest, Colby Lodge near Llanteg, The Secret Garden at Picton Castle or Upton Castle Gardens near Cosheston.

Leisure Centres – there are public leisure centres with indoor swimming pools in Pembroke,Tenby Milford Haven and Haverfordwest.  There is also a leisure centre at The Court Hotel, Lamphey.

Spa Treatments – Celtic Haven Resort, The Court Hotel and St Brides Hotel are some of the local resorts offering spa treatments

Cinemas – The Torch Theatre in Milford Haven and in Carmarthen there  is a six screen cinema

Theatres – The Torch Theatre in Milford Haven has some really good productions.
